Why NVR?
Why not use a 2+mp TVI system? Why bog the network down with individual camera traffic? I find there's far less issues with TVI systems, better camera aesthetics and options, less network congestion, limited network configuration, easy retrofit, and IMO better picture quality.
Also, if you use the right system, you can have auto NAT, and essentially auto port forwarding via UPNP settings. No DDNS, and little worry when a router/modem gets swapped out.
