Warning – Shameless pitch to follow: A favorite surveillance system of mine uses powerful analytics to address this challenge [Link: snapav.com] In my use case I have cameras on the perimeter of my home that I “arm” and “disarm” notifications for. In addition, these cameras are connected to a live monitoring station for human visual verification to contact authorities whenever someone steps onto my property if my traditional security system is armed way before they even reach the physical perimeter of my home. Furthermore I use a geofence rule in my control system to arm and disarm as I leave or return to my home just in case I left the home w/o arming the traditional system.
