I hear you. I bought a 2017, and ordered the entertainment package, so I can listen to Howard stern in the morning (yes it's a waste I don't drive out of town and my commute is 9 minutes on a bad day). It's got a 7" screen. I didn't even realize til about 3 months of ownership that there was a tiny button that flipped down the screen to load a cd or dvd. So I immediately went back in, grabbed a DVD...put the car in drive...big warning has to be in park. Do people really sit in a parked car and watch a movie?
Back in the day when practically every home DVD player had a region encoded. I used my in car DVD player to watch those “over seas” movies. The most bazar movie that I had to watch it like that, was a Jean-Claude Van Damme movie from the 80’s. For whatever reason, I couldn’t find a region 1 DVD of Bloodsport or whatever. I do remember watching it as a child here in the States though.
