Revising an old thread:
So I'm using a Motorola qip cable box with a Pro Control Remote. Customer wants to add a TV in the other room and split the hdmi connection. Well I figured I could just plug in those IR receiver cables the cable providers handout and all will be good. Well it works in the other room but it disables IT on the front of the cable box for the emmiter.
FML lol
They've always done this. It's great when they're in a rack and you don't have to worry about the front IR window getting hit with stray signals.
Tell the customer to get another cable box.
