I wish you luck man. I too have never asked for a raise. Currently at my job for less than 2 months though. However, I am making more than someone who has been there for 10. Probably because of my background.
If I may, how did you work yourself up to ask? Did you have a plan of what to say, how to say it and such?

I definitely had a bit of a plan of what to say. Lots of things got omitted, of course, because I know that writing a novel of a raise request would be annoying to even me if I were a boss, and I'm a pretty chill and understanding guy.
I worked myself up to ask, though, via stuff.
