By default the Harmony hub-based products send IR commands to your devices from the hub, and from both IR mini blasters (if connected) at the same time. IR commands are not sent from the remote, however you may change this. This may be required if your cable/satellite box, AV receiver, and other devices are in a separate location from your television, such as in a closet or at the back of your living room. You may position the hub next to those devices while controlling your television directly from the remote.

Please keep in mind that the Harmony App will no longer support any activity that includes a device that is controlled by the remote instead of the Hub.
