The electrical characteristics of DVI and HDMI are the same. When using an HDMI/DVI or DVI/HDMI mechanical adapter the HDMI Audio/Video will work. Now the real question is "Will you get 4K?"
If you use the HDM-GA1 (Metra Home Theater) I think that you will get 10G 4K.
You may (no promise) get REAL lucky and support 8 bit HDR.

Whoa...so are you saying I could use the DVI to hdmi adapter then install the accelerator and I could potentially give them 4K? If that is the case then maybe I'll try this out and tell him the next option is wireless. If that doesn't work then it's Swiss cheese that mother up! :P my client was already not expecting to get 4K so that's ok, if he does it's a bonus.

I thought the Pioneer cable pin out was slightly different so it wasn't just a converter. Guess not!

This is awesome!
