I am one who really enjoys the hard button remote but at the same time want to be able to start building things with IOT such as smartthings or insteon hub. Specifically i'd like to be able to use Caseta lighting for it's ease. If i went to an IP remote such as a dedicated tablet it would be easy, except i really prefer to just have my hard button remote.

Since i already own my 890's and really like the control they give within CCP i'd like to stay that route, but i see no way to interface IR / RF commands to to any of the IOT hubs. I see the total control products on the URC site but they won't work with the 890 correct?

Is there any easy way to do this? I've seen a few DIY interfaces for Smartthings that seem to work but i'd rather just see a module.  I want a very simple 3 zone system with a few scenes but don't want to go crazy on controls.

Edit: looks like the Insteon hub with an IRLinc will do this. Insteon was my third choice on hubs (prefer smartthings) but if it works... Any other ideas?
