The signal would have to go through the DSP board to be processed, as we expect; but for the signal to bypass processing, I think it would go through the board anyway but not be processed. It's probably not like a Tape Monitor button, where pushing a mechanical switch puts the REC OUT and MON jacks in series with the signal.
