I think I was there that day! I walked in for a late lunch years ago. There was a middle aged feller there in bib overalls by himself. He had a stack of empties on the table, a few full plates, and showed signs of having been there already for a long while, AND of not planning to stop any time soon.

It was 4:00. That means the steaks are ready to start coming off the flat top. He was just getting warmed up. I spend too long at any buffet to make extra sure I cancel out the mediocrity of the food with sheer volume. But this guy must have been trying to commit suicide by food. It was insane. He was a spectacle for all. It was incredible to see him eat steak after steak. He was in pain, and moving in a sloth-like manner near the end. But that did not stop him from finishing 2 or 3 plates of dessert items and a massive bowl (the soup bowls...not the intended ice cream bowls) of soft serve to wash it down.
