I'm trying to control a Crestron Adagio AES via IR input. It mentions using the CNXRMIRD to do so but is that device simply the same as any other IR Receiver with a 3.5 mm plug?
The only Specs I can find for the CNXRMIRD list the following: IR Wireless IR Frequency : 36 to 38 kHz IR Format: Crestron format, RC5 Range: Up to 50 ft line of sight (typical), dependent upon angle, obstructions, IR interference, and IR remote signal strength
I'd rather not drop $125 on their IR receiver if a standard 5 dollar one will do the same job. Anyone know if that is a proprietary device somehow or if a standard IR receiver will work?
