All right, I'll engage a bit here.
The idea of "reality" that I started with was setting the scene for some humor. The response veered WAY far away from humor!
And is your question simple? The words you used were few and simple, but no less a mind than Stephen Hawking "expresses a radically skeptical view of reality in general," according to Steven Weinberg, "The Universes We Still Don't Know," New York Review of Books, February 10, 2011. Weinberg is a Nobel laureate in Physics. He disagrees with Hawking: "Like most people, I believe there is something real out there... I can't help believing in an objective reality." See? Not so simple.
We coulda just kept it in the realm of humor.
