People are so excited about being able to talk to the remote control and tell it to change to ESPN, or change to CNN. Since they can't do it with their fancy custom programmed remote control, we are going to have to go back to Xantech and Niles with our tails between our legs.
Since the eavesdropping remote will control cable box, television, and receiver, all we need to do is keep all eight of our cabinet doors wide-open for line of sight, or go back to the industry standard of 25 years ago – the IR target.
