Agreed, but you can set the view to 1/2 size... I'll design for Retina and both will technically be done after a quick conversion. I figured all of this out, finally.
Everything is 9-Slice on my end. Those same Retina iPad buttons can be used on a 240 x 320 screen. The icons scale perfectly.
That's the beauty of SG, the graphics scale on any screen.
I use 1024 x 768 and works awesome on new iPads with Retina but keeps file size down and makes it much easier to work on in VTPro.
