Hello, guys.

I just bought this remote (my first universal) and it successfully sync'd only once. Now I'm stuck with a half-working setup and can't update it. I'm on Windows 10. Tried with a Windows 8.1 notebook and the old online Silverlight tool.

Tried the remote's safe mode, disabling anti-virus, Windows troubleshooting, the weird "disable help" support suggestion, moving to an USB 2.0 port, all of these together... Nothing.

I loved the IR-learning remote experience. Bought it without even knowing it could learn, but it looks like I'll have to return it. Couldn't sync it again after spending a whole day off trying to make it work.

Good thing is it's led me here and your search wizard is amazing. Next thing might be finding an affordable alternative. :)

Thanks for reading. Any help will be much appreciated.

If you connect the micro USB cable, does your computer respond in any way? It should make a sound when it's connected or disconnected. If it doesn't, make sure the cable is fully inserted in the remote and USB port.

The version of the USB port doesn't matter- it's not sending enough info to be a problem. If you have more than one computer, load the software on another and if it already has a copy, remove it. Install the program, open it, connect the cable and open the account. If you click on the account button, it will have a way to add a remote- doing this eliminates deleting the commands you learned, although I'd like to know what you had to teach it since their database has more commands than any other. Yamaha ID 2, excluded.

Save the setup and if you can't get the remote to respond, see if you can exchange it for another. This is the best remote for the price.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."
