Element TV recommends the following remote codes for Comcast remotes: 11864, 10178, 0060. They do not work on older Comcast remotes or on the newest XR2V3 remote.

Comcast recommends 11687 or 12260. These also do not work.

If the remote controller is operating, then Volume, Mute, and TV Input buttons operate an Element TV. (Other buttons such as Channel talk to the Comcast box - not to a TV).

Comcast (and others) recommend entering 991. Then pressing the CH+ button until a powered on Element TV powers off. Then pressing the Set or Setup button to lock in that code. Even that does not work.

So, one must do what neither Comcast nor Element employees could do. Reverse engineer it.

Codes that work on Element TVs are 13907, 13579, and 13559. These codes are not listed by Comcast for any TV. In fact, no 13xxx codes are listed. But those codes exist and work in newer XR2 remotes.

Those codes enable Vol, Mute, TV Input, and power to talk to an Element TV.

However the remote's engineering is still screwed up. Once "TV Input' selects the appropriate screen, then left and right arrow buttons must move that selection from TV, Aux, HDMI, or to any other TV input. Comcast's remote will not change input selection on Element TVs. It does not even work for Samsung TVs. TV Input select screen is displayed. But no button permits changing a selection. Who designs this stuff? Clearly not an engineer.

Can Comcast employees go to management get this crap corrected? Of course not. I have tried repeatedly. Which is why I finally reversed engineered the thing to locate three valid codes - for this Element 52 inch TV.

Please post your experiences with these codes. And with helping Comcast employees to get the support obstructed by Comcast management.
