Hello All - newby here so be patient.
I have to get an IR signal from a bedroom TV to equipment located in a nearby closet. I have a Cat 5 from TV to equipment.
The equipment is just a set top box from Telus - it has no IR input on it.
I'm hazy on IR signal path...
I presume I have to splice a sensor to the TV end of the Cat 5 but not clear on the other end. Do I need an IR extender kit or can I simply connect an emitter to the other end?
