I've used this a few times instead of the Niles or Xantech pieces because you get more for your money.

I use it most often with a temperature sensor to turn on the fans in the top of a rack and then extra outlets for accessories.

Use what ever you can to trigger it. Sorry I can't help there.

Also +1 for HEOS. Trigger out and subwoofer out. What's not to love about that.
