We use D-Tools to generate wiring plans but you can do it with any floorplan software. Just about every room is wired the same so they learn quickly that keypads get this wire and speakers get that wire etc.

As long as we supply the wire and teach them the basics like not knotting the cable and limit the 90 degree bends and no yanking on the fiber...they are fine.

We don't put in the boxes or speaker brackets (what 3pedal mentioned) but that would absolutely make life easier for you/them.

Another thing i just thought of is color coding. This has helped in the past too. I can walk up to a bundle of all black wires and in seconds group them into cat5's/speaker cables/fiber etc without reading the labels but most people just see a bundle of black wire. Keeping everything a different color will help eliminate confusion.
