i believe at one point, the software did require there to be a command in the macro window for it to track properly.  as far as i know, a software update fixed this.

i wonder if the driver originally had something in the power on and power off macros, and that command was deleted, that would be the issue.  maybe since it was created with a code, it needs to see a code, or it doesn't know what to do.

i would try editing the driver and delete anything in the power command slots.  then load the driver and test again.  or create a new driver from scratch.

i can tell you with 100% certainty, that my appletv driver has nothing in the power on macro, yet it tracks properly every time.
