I never said I would install one for a customer. A physical remote is always a better option than a touch screen IMO. I never thought I would be using my phone to control my system. I just don't have the need for anything more complex at the moment. In the future I may and I will get a real control system again. My point was that, at least in the case of SimpleControl, these systems can work quite well.
