I installed and programmed URC, ProControl, and Control4 systems for years. I don't work in the industry anymore and I just gave my MX 980/MRF-350 to my parents and replaced it with the SimpleControl iPhone app with the Simple Blaster. It works great and even had the codes for my electric screen. Frankly I use my Apple TV remote for almost everything. There is a place for these devices.
