Exactly. Don't be insulted -- that's pretty much what you're describing, though you might have to use several 2x4s.
I'm not insulted.
But I need something that not only accepts patch panels which would be a simple rack rail and a 2x4, but I also need the depth for the network switch, thus something in the 12-14" depth.
