...and RTFM is not an acronym unless you pronounce it rit-fum or something like that. If you say arr-tee-eff-emm, then it's an initialization or abbreviation. An acronym is a series of letter abbreviations that can be read or said as a word. Laser, for instance: light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation. Or radar: radio detection and ranging. That one uses the first two letters of the first word. An acronym is not necessarily just the initials.
