How is it a lateral move? You can't turn on your AVR, TV, and source and select correct inputs with one button press on the DTV remote. All programming and events is stored on the processor. You still get two way smart macros, IP, serial, and IR control of your AVR and sources, and OSD that lets you control other sub systems. It to mention tablet and smartphone control.
