Duct Tape, thanks for the advice. I tried using sat code 173, basically D10, and when I select the DTV icon it hangs the MX-780 up and won't allow me to select any other device (xbox, blu-ray) until I take the batteries out and put them back in (it is the only way I can get the remote to reset). When I go back the original .ccp file which has the HR-24 700 series (SAT 236) the remote has no issue controlling all of the functions of the Genie EXCEPT, again, the GUIDE button. I know the guide button mechanically works find because it worked with the Uverse receiver a month a go.

If there are any other ideas, please let me know. Otherwise, it looks like we'll have to use two remotes when watching DirecTV. I don't have the coin right now to buy another remote comparable to the 780.
