I am putting in analog audio left and right from an IIPOD into the analog vcr1 input of a Denon AVR-3803 receiver. The audio plays fine, but i do not get the audio from the IPOD out of the vcr1 audio output jacks. Any idea why?
Yup.
The Denon's output jacks take audio from the audio path BEFORE the point where these jacks are, and feed it to the VCR for recording. The Denon's VCR input jacks send audio into the Denon's audio path AFTER the point where these jacks are, for playing through the amp. Audio fed into the VCR input jacks won't be present at an earlier stage of the audio path. That audio is, however, fed to the Denon output jacks of other devices, such as VCR 2.
