Oh, yeah, I'm reminded: near the eastern summit of Palos Verdes there's a radar dome. Or at least there used to be.
In the early 70s a girlfriend of mine lived about two miles down the hill from there. I installed an audio system in a cabinet her dad had bought several years before. Everything was fine, except if you switched to phono and turned up the volume, every eight or so seconds you'd hear a short sound like that of a mosquito, completely perfectly timed. It was the phone wires picking up the radar signal!
Everything worked there, but hey, we didn't even have VCRs back then.
