Client bought last year's Sony XBR65X750 and new Roku 4 from Best Buy.
I provided the Marantz NR1506 which is HDCP2.2 compliant.
I connected them using the Ethereal MHX series passive HDMI cables.
When I selected the 4K resolution on the Roku 4 I get the warning that the HDMI (need ARC input but could run optical if I need to switch inputs) input is not HDCP 2.2 and need to switch inputs on Sony TV.
I searched the Sony forums and found a thread that indicated if I did an update on the TV the TV would get the HDCP 2.2 upgrade.
Ran the update in the Sony TV and error box on Roku 4 says still need input with HDCP 2.2.
I tried all 4 HDMI inputs on Sony TV with no success.
Either my client needs to get the newer Sony TV (or Samsung) or I'm doing something wrong on this TV.
Anyone have any ideas?

I don't know if this plays into it or not, but your cable is not 18 gig. You should stock up on the AS-HD18-xx. I've used said cable and Velox with Roku 4/Denon/Samsung a few times now and have had no issues.
