Had a conversation about that with a guy.
With a straight face, he told me he didn't expect to live another hundred years, never mind the 500.
My house isn't listed as being in a flood plain, yet my area has had water from the nearby creek several times. 1997 and 1998 were 300 year floods, 2006 was a 200 year flood and 2010 was a 500 year flood.
No wonder I'm tired.
