I have a clients dead NVR (G4) .....it just died, client noticed loud fan noise before it kicked the bucket. My guess was the PSU just died. I bought a small form factor PSU that fits perfect in the case, pretty much a direct replacement for the old one. The plug is an ATX factor on the motherboard and the new one plugs in just fine...problem is it's not turning on. After closer inspection the wires going into the plug don't match the old one...so my guess is the trigger from the button isn't sending the signal. I confirmed the new PSU works by jumping the green wire with a black wire, but can't do this with the plug plugged into the mobo!

Does anyone know if these PSU for NVRs are special? I highly doubt they would reinvent the wheel. The old PSU is FSP Group fsp150-10gsv ...I cannot find this PSU anywhere online which means it's a lovely China special.

FYI G4 is not warranting this, let alone even interested in supporting this since their move to Uniview. When I called the rep said they no longer have any documentation of any of their older line since the move to Uniview. I may be stuck eating this because G4 is nothing but shady, effers with their very shady bs business ethics. Buyer beware with these con artists.
