Sorry, I've never seen this behavior with any of my Sony TVs. But none of mine are android.
Sounds like an issue that codes cannot solve, as my codes are identical to the original Sony codes (give or take a few repeats). I'd report the issue to Sony. Perhaps they can fix it with a future firmware update.
