I'm reviving this old thread because I'm having the same issues this thread discusses. I'm using Windows 10 and CCP. I can connect to MX-980 remotes but NOT to my MX-880 remote. I have installed the driver and it shows up like this in Device Manager:

Just FYI, I followed jimbob_sf's instructions (thanks for the excellent post btw). The driver installed is the "URC_USB_Sync_FW1.inf" file located in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Universal Remote Control, Inc\Complete Control Program\MX-880\Drivers\Windows Vista\64-bits". The computer shows this message when the remote is connected:

When I try to update the driver by going into Device Manager and using the "Have Disk" method I get the following error message:

I can not get past this issue and would appreciate any assistance.

Thanks,

John
