A lot of great, helpful information....Thanks!
I have a issue that I did not see any other poster reference.
I had an issue with my xfinity cablebox accessing On Demand with customer support deciding I needed to swap out the box for another. The new (much smaller box) is a DCT700. They also swapped out the remote for an (identical) xfinity silver w/red button. The issue is this: when I use the remote to access the dct700 (to change channels, access OnDemand, etc.), I must point the remote directly at the box. With the old box/remote I only needed to point the remote in the general direction of the box. I read a vague reference on another site regarding remote sending IR vs RF signals causing similar issues but no solutions. Any ideas as how to not needing to point directly at box?
Oh! One other thing that is different with new equip, when I push any button on remote the "Cable" button flashes 4 times....with every button push.
Thanks.....
