You fell for the media and the DNC twisting what Trump actually said.
No where in that did he "invite" Russia, or "ask" Russia, to hack Americans.
His response was brought about by the Dems supposition that the hacking was done by Russia in order to alter the election.
The Dems are just trying to deflect another of the dirty tricks they were involved in. Pretty good move, since everyone is now talking about Trump and Russia instead of what the DNC was up to.

Think about it. Where are those 30,000+ emails that magically got lost? Why is this no big deal? Why was Hillary not charged with perjury when she so obviously lied under oath?
Its no big deal because everyone does it. Hillary Clinton doesnt have to ever worry about jail time until George W Bush is convicted of any of his crimes. If that ever happens she might actually have to worry because it means we finally have an honest person in the white house. Until then...her 30000 emails, Bush's 20,000,000 emails...doesnt matter. No ones going to jail.
