I haven't noticed anything like it so far. But I barely used it so far - I wanted to replace my MX-5000 with it now because it barely makes it through the day.
That's when I noticed that the buttons are missing.
Although I love the wifi on the MX-5000 (I control my HTPC via wifi) what is the point of a remote that needs to be on the cradle all the time.
