Network is rock solid, and I can ping the TV, but with the addition of the Android OS, it won't respond to IP (at least for URC). Iv'e read all the white papers and two things seem to be of issue.
First, all the documentation says to activate IP via the OSD. There is no option other that turning on/off 232 via either HDMI or the direct port (I tested in all settings as I realize that many devices see the IP commands and 232 commands as the same).
Second, after calling Tech support, they say that the new Sonys return some odd feedback and they are having problems controlling Sony at this time.
Iv'e found mention of using the "low control" method, but I can't find any way of getting this thing to communicate.
This was all done on a 49" XBR (XBR49X830C).... I have another job specked with the 75" version, but it's not too late to change spec if there are other options.
