I don't have enough frame of reference to tell you exactly how the programming and UI are different from TC, but this seems to go back into that space where ccgen2 was -- a product for distribution.

But I think they developed a new framework kinda from scratch, which might eventually make its way into TC. Reminds me a little of how Pro Control started.
