Thanx Matt for sending me the document. Actually, after having studied it, I considered the soldering the cables to the main PCB at two very tiny "points" (that were definitely not intended to solder wires to) to be too risky. Not only the soldering as such but also the risk of pulling in the wires thereby damaging the PCB should not be underestimated.

Sad, really.
