hi there

over the last year i have been slowly learning AMX programming and have so far managed to set up a load of equipment at home to work using IR buds - minidisk, tape deck, dvd, vhs, camcorder, youview box and TV. it all works pretty fine so far, with one or two quirks but i'm pleased with the progress i've made

the thing now is that i want to start learning rs232 so that i can start to switch the audio on my amp when i switch devices. at the moment i have to switch manually at the amp.

i have bought a Kramer VS801n audio video switcher which i plan to fit into my NI 3000 using one of the rs232 ports and i found some documentation here :
[Link: kramerelectronics.com]

i have looked online to see if there are any Netlinx code examples for using switchers like this or similar which i could learn from and adapt to my uses but i have drawn a blank so far.

could anyone offer any advice, help, or code examples so i can get this switcher up and running and i can develop my programmings skills further?

any help would be greatly appreciated

many thanks
