I’m trying to get some discreet hex codes for my Audio Research LS-17 preamp that are compatible with my URC MX-890 remote. The manufacture has provided code information in Philips RC5 protocol as seen below.
The mute on/off, power on/off, and volume up/down are the codes I need, though it would be nice to have them all.
I’ve scanned the forums and it seems to me that (if this is possible at all) I first have to convert the information provided into a usable Pronto Hex form and then convert those codes into a long form hex code in a .ccf file. From there I believe I can view the codes in ProntoEdit and copy them into CCP and load them into the remote. I’ve tried to use a combination of Make Hex, IR Panels, and IR Scrutinizer to convert to a URC compatible hex format to no avail. Given the supplied information, I’m not sure I’m entering the correct variables into MakeHex (using the MakeHex GUI) to get Pronto Hex codes, and from there I can’t get IR Panels to generate a .ccf file because it doesn’t like the format of the codes I’m entering. I realize this process could be completely wrong as well, but it’s all I’ve been able to come up with.
Normally I can figure out how to use these tools but this one has me stumped. Any help, with the proper conversion process, or helping me enter the proper information into the tools, or just outright converting the codes for me into a format that can be easily entered in URC’s CCP program would be much appreciated.
