That's the way I do it. I usually setup about 3 times a day for it to turn on lights like in the kitchen and living room throughout the day to make it look like some bodies home. Also you can set it to turn on randomly within 30 minutes of your set time so it doesn't always come on at the same time and just add some randomness in case some bodies watching the house.
