We sold a bunch of them years ago. We only had issues with 2 or 3 specific models. They always took care of us on them. They even paid for overnight shipping both ways to get a VX-2c back to us. It died the monday before Superbowl. They "repaired" a projector I bricked trying to use a USB-serial adapter to update firmware, when one of their techs told me "it should work". We got one the first LED projectors they shipped. It looked phenomenal, but the LED driver made some buzzing noise that was more audible than I thought it should be, especially on bright scenes or if I put up a 100 IRE white screen pattern. I held the phone up to it for tech. support and they agreed and sent a new one out the same day. The replacement was silent.
I feel like Planar did not keep up the pace with the line as well as they could have. Sad to see such an iconic brand get lost in the corporate shuffle.
