i have the HR24 Receiver/DVR and using factory RF remote. All of a sudden:

1- If i change channel using up/down buttons, it will change up or down, and just keep going. It will not stop unless i press a number button that is also a channel that i receive. Such as 5 or 8.

2- Similar behavior in the guide, except i have to press exit to get out of the menu, which then changes the resolution output HD to non-HD and will toggle it again the next time i press exit.

3- If i try to change the channel to something like 229, it will only go to 29. any of the numeric keys will only work one time. Example, i cannot go to channel 11 because the second "1" will not be accepted , but i can got to channel 13.

SO FAR:

A- I know its not the remote, as i removed the batteries. Also, it haves the same behavior if I use the buttons on the face of the unit.

B- I have reset, unplugged, and forced a software update. No change.

C- Changed batteries in the factory remote.

I have seen the "runaway" type behavior in projects with Crestron and URC installs, but this is straight up factory remote controlled.


Ideas??
