You sure it's less expensive than the SDI? The SDI comes as a set and the MB3 you have to buy the tx and rx separately.
If he can use the ethereal system instead of JAP it's definetly a better deal. But if he is locked in to using JAP and needs to convert one zone to coax, the ethereal modulation system seems like over kill for one zone.
