you would be simply allowing RF commands sent from a CC series remote to pass through and be sent out the IR ports on an mrx-10 and no port routing so if you had a bunch of cable boxes for example that command will go out of all ports, so if you have multiple boxes in the job, even on other ports you will end up with an issue...you could fix that but would not be worth it in the end and that would be adding a Xantech IR router, but then you are sending xantech code before every command to manage that and you would be better off just ditching the CC remote and buy a TC remote, which at this point no matter what you should do...just sayin, at least my .02 cents...but the Question and answer in the short is yes it will work within a sandbox...
