I'm running into a weird bug in my mx-810 prowizard software. At least I think it's a bug. I'm on the latest version of the software, and I've run into various bugs in this program before. But this one seems unusually bad. Right now I'm tuning up a device and have gone all the way to the end of the "input selection" screen where you get to tell the software how you select inputs on a given device. The very last screen lets you indicate whether or not there is a button press to dismiss the input selection screen on the device's interface. The software specifically states on the screen at this point that if your device does not need a button press to dismiss the input selection screen (i.e. the screen disappears on its own after you select the input on the device), then one can click the big "NEXT' button in the mx-810 prowizard software to skip to the end of the setup screen. But whenever I attempt to do this, the software gives me an error preventing me from moving on by saying "you must choose a button." So basically even though the software indicates that I should be able to hit "next" and skip the option of selecting a button for dismissing the input selection screen, it won't let me do that. I have to create a dummy dead button just to advance past this error. Doesn't this sound like a bug rather than a feature? :) Just wondering if anyone else has run into this error. I'd hate to have to add all my device back in manually and recreate my macros. But this is typically what I end up doing when I run into these kinds of bugs in the prowizard software.
