We went thru several niles amps on this job before throwing in the towel. Niles tech support was not helpful and our distributor recommended the Parasound equipment. The sound quality is awesome on these amps!
Did you try setting the level controls below 12:00? Also, was the amplifier sharing an outlet with other high power output amplifiers or other heavy loads? Voltage drop could cause the same symptoms.
