I surprised the hell out of a tech guy at Faroudja when I called him up in 1999 and asked why there wasn't IR control on the line quadrupler.* Now I was going to have to use RS232 when everything else in this
consumer's theater was IR. And this was the second residential customer with that problem. The next quadrupler model had IR.
