PEP will only work on a Windows OS as it uses DLLs that are windows-specific.

I would recommend for the least amount of issues that youtry and install a 32-bit version of the Windows OS. Others have discussed Windows 7 64 bit here and this may be related to PEP1 only as it was a standard C/C++ program whereas PEP2 is C Sharp in .NET.

I don't recommend Windows 10 or Windows 8. I don't even use Windows 8.1. However, I do know some who do use 8.1. I personally have Windows 7 but don't have PEP on that machine. For PEP/PEP2, I am currently running a desktop with 32 bit XP SP3.
